Active people meeting & youth elections 2023
The active people meeting is the annual meeting of young friends of the earth activists from all over Lower Saxony. We elect the new state youth leadership (our state board) and collecting ideas for projects, workshops and other actions for the next year. And of course we have plenty of time planned to get to know each other and to talk about the issues that move us.
The activists‘ weekend starts on Friday, 20.10. and runs until Sunday, 22.10.2023. Linked to this is the youth meeting on Saturday, 21.10.2023. For this we meet at the Jugendhof Idingen in Bad Fallingbostel. There we will have a meeting room for ourselves and of course there will be delicious food and drink. We are accommodated in rooms with 4/5 beds, each with it’s own shower and toilet.
By the way: The active weekend is also ideal if you are not yet active in the young friends of the earth network in lower saxony and would like to get a taste of what we do. 🙂

Friday, 20.10.2023
5 pm – Meet at Bad Fallingbostel train station and further together to the Jugendhof.
5:30 pm – Arrival at the Jugendhof
6:30 pm – Dinner
7:30 pm – exchange & further getting to know each other and first common action
8:30 pm – organisational stuff, explanation of the elections and Power-Point karaoke (reports from 2022)
9:30 pm – Open Space (e.g. skill sharing, DIY, games, film etc.)
Saturday, 21.10.2023
8 am – Breakfast
9 am – National Youth Assembly – agenda & reports
11 am – Break
11:30 am – Content (e.g. workshop/exchange group)
12:30 pm – Lunch
1:30 pm – National Youth Assembly – Motions
3 pm – coffe time / afternoon break
4:30 pm – National Youth Assembly – Budget
6 pm – Dinner
7 pm – Elections
8 pm – Bar Camp (e.g. Skill sharing, workshops and inputs e.g. crochet and knitting, basket weaving and „how does capitalism work?“)
9 pm – maybe watching a film together
Sunday, 22.10.2023
8 am – breakfast
9 am – think tank: ‚BUNDjugend Niedersachsen 2024‘ (young friends lower saxony 2024)
11 am – break
11:30 am – upcoming events and feedback
12:30 pm – ĺunch
1:30 pm – tidying up, lost & found
2:30 pm – way to the station & departure

Info about the accommodation:
– the seminar rooms are on the 1st floor of the main building and can be reached by stairs with handrail and lift. The lift is 90 cm wide and 130 cm long; there are no wheelchair ramps.
– the doors are 90 cm wide.
